Steal my must-have tools for first time home buyers
1. Get your buyer rules: Knowing the rules of the buying game is KEY to a successful purchase!
- Get Pre-Approved before house hunting
- Pick 1 agent and stick with them!
- Don't ask other agents for more info
- Don't start at the top of your budget
- Meet with me to go over the entire process
2. Time to check your credit score! I always recommend just meeting with your lender (I have recs if you need them!) and they can pull your credit for you and give you a plan. But, if it's going to likely be 6 months-a year until you start house hunting, you can check your credit score on sites like Experian, Equifax, Myfico.com and annualcreditreport.com.
3. First Time Home Buyer Club. Unfortunately this is not a club we can all go hang out in as we drink cocktails and chat about our backsplashes (but if you want to do this... let me know!)
